of <h1>Customs Duty Reduction for Fork-Lift Trucks & Printing Machines Under Chapter 84 as per 1992 Notification</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, has issued an exemption notification dated March 1, 1992, concerning certain goods under Chapter 84, including fork-lift trucks and printing machines. This notification exempts these goods from the full customs duty specified in the First Schedule of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. Instead, a reduced duty rate is applied: 55% ad valorem for goods under sub-headings 8427.10 and 8427.20, and 35% ad valorem for goods under sub-heading 8442.50, when imported into India.
