This exemption applies to navigational, communication, air traffic control, and landing equipment, along with their maintenance spares, imported by the National Airports Authority of India or the International Airports Authority of India. The exemption reduces customs duty to 25% ad valorem and removes additional duties, provided the importer presents a certificate from the Director General of Civil Aviation confirming the goods are for airport modernization. This notification supersedes the previous notification No. 121/90-Customs.
