of <h1>India Exempts Wind Generator Parts from Customs Duty with Certification Requirement under Notification No. 101/92-Cus.</h1> The Central Government of India, under the Customs Act, 1962, has issued Notification No. 101/92-Cus dated March 1, 1992, exempting parts of wind-operated electricity generators from customs duty and additional duty under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. This exemption applies when these parts are imported into India for the maintenance of such generators. To avail of this exemption, importers must present a certificate from a Deputy Secretary in the Department of Non-Conventional Energy Sources, confirming the necessity of the parts and recommending the exemption.
