of <h1>Customs Duty Update: 30% Ad Valorem Rate on Railway and Tramway Goods under Headings 86.01 & 86.02</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, has amended a previous notification from March 20, 1990, regarding customs duties on railway and tramway goods. The amendment, effective from March 1, 1992, revises the duty rates for goods classified under headings 86.01 and 86.02. Both categories of goods will now be subject to a 30% ad valorem duty rate. This change is implemented in the public interest as part of the government's regulatory measures on customs tariffs.
