The exemption applies to goods specified in the annexed table, which fall under specified headings or sub-headings of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. The exemption reduces the customs duty to 35% ad valorem for instruments other than hydrometers, barometers, hygrometers, psychrometers, and humidistats, as detailed under headings 9025.80, 9031.00, and 9032.81.
