of <h1>Government Exempts Iron Ore from Export Duties Beyond 5% Ad Valorem Under Customs Act, 1962 Notification No. 134/92-Cus</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, has issued Notification No. 134/92-Cus dated March 1, 1992, to exempt all types of iron ore from export duties beyond a 5% ad valorem rate. This exemption applies to iron ore classified under heading No. 11 of the Second Schedule of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, and is deemed necessary in the public interest.
