<h1>Central Government Amends Customs Notifications 74/85-Cus. and 33/88-Cus., Increasing Duty Rates and Omitting Paragraphs.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification Nos. 74/85-Cus. and 33/88-Cus. under the Customs Act, 1962, in the public interest. For Notification No. 74/85-Cus., the amendment replaces '50%' with '60%' in the opening paragraph and omits paragraph 3. For Notification No. 33/88-Cus., the amendment changes '10 per cent ad valorem' to '20% ad valorem' in the opening paragraph and also omits paragraph 3. These changes are specified in Notification No. 147/92-Cus., dated March 26, 1992.
