<h1>Government Amends Export Tariff: Reduces Rate from 10% to 7% Ad Valorem Under Customs Act Section 25(1)</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 137/92-Customs, dated March 1, 1992, under the powers granted by section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962. This amendment, detailed in Notification No. 181/92-Customs dated April 30, 1992, revises the export tariff specified in the original notification. Specifically, in the table annexed to the notification, the tariff rate at S. No. 2 in column (3) is changed from '10% ad valorem' to '7% ad valorem.' This adjustment is made in the interest of public welfare.
