of <h1>Customs notification amended under Section 25(1) to include Minerals and Metals Trading Corporation in gold jewellery export replenishment scheme</h1> By exercise of section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, the government amended Notification No.164/78-Customs (dated 21 August 1978) to modify the entity reference in the gold jewellery export replenishment scheme: the phrase 'the State Bank of India Act, 1955 (23 of 1955)' is replaced with 'the State Bank of India Act, 1955 (23 of 1955) or the Minerals and Metals Trading Corporation,' thereby extending the notification's coverage to include the Minerals and Metals Trading Corporation for purposes of the stated customs exemption.
