of <h1>Customs Act Amendment: New 40% Duty on Tin Ores and Concentrates, Effective June 22, 1992, per Notification 227/92-Cus.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 34/90-Customs, dated March 20, 1990, under the Customs Act, 1962, to include a new entry in the table of specified goods under Chapter 26. The amendment introduces a new serial number, 4A, which pertains to tin ores and concentrates, now subject to a 40% ad valorem duty. This change is made in the public interest, effective from June 22, 1992, as per Notification No. 227/92-Cus.
