of <h1>Customs Notification Amendment Expands Exemption to Include CSIR Under New Millennium Indian Tech Leadership Initiative Scheme</h1> Notification No. 108/2003-Customs, dated 14th July 2003, amends Notification No. 50/96-Customs from 23rd July 1996. Exercising powers under section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, the Central Government, for public interest, has decided to replace the term 'Ministry or Department' with 'Ministry or Department or Council of Scientific and Industrial Research under the New Millennium Indian Technology Leadership Initiative Scheme' in the original notification. This amendment extends the scope of the exemption to include the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research under the specified scheme.
