of <h1>Government Imposes 30% Customs Duty on Select Refractory Raw Materials Under Notification No. 14/93-Cus, Effective 1993</h1> The Central Government has issued Notification No. 14/93-Cus, dated February 28, 1993, under the Customs Act, 1962, to impose an effective customs duty rate of 30% ad valorem on specific refractory raw materials listed under Chapters 25, 26, 28, or 38 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. The notification applies to certain goods, including Chromite Ore, Natural Flaky Graphite, Magnesia-Chrome-Sinters, Tabular/Sintered/Calcined Alumina, Fused Magnesia, and Dead Burnt Magnesite, provided they meet specified compositional criteria. This measure is deemed necessary in the public interest.
