Customs duty cap on specified pesticides limits excess import duty by exempting surplus customs levy. The Central Government exempts specified pesticide, insecticide, fungicide and weedicide chemicals imported under the First Schedule tariff classifications from so much of the customs duty as exceeds an amount calculated at the rate of 75% ad valorem, applying this public interest exemption to the chemicals listed in the annexed Table.
