of <h1>Customs Duty Revised: Rate Increased from 35% to 80% Ad Valorem; Key Serial Numbers Updated for Pharmaceuticals</h1> Notification No. 22/93-Cus., dated February 28, 1993, amends Notification No. 216/92-Cus. to prescribe an effective rate of customs duty. Under the powers granted by the Customs Act, 1962, the Central Government has revised the customs duty rate from '35% ad valorem' to '80% ad valorem.' Additionally, specific serial numbers (36, 44, and 47) and their related entries have been removed. New entries have been added after serial number 53, including Hydrocortisone, Prednisolone, Betamethasone, and Dexamethasone. These changes are made in the public interest.
