of <h1>New Customs Duty Rate Set at 45% for Used Railway Track Materials Imported from Burma Under Notification No. 48/93-Cus.</h1> Notification No. 48/93-Cus., dated February 28, 1993, issued by the Central Government, supersedes Notification No. 371/76-Cus. It prescribes an effective customs duty rate of 45% ad valorem on specified used iron or steel railway or tramway track materials imported from Burma. This exemption is enacted under the powers of the Customs Act, 1962, and the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, in the public interest, reducing the duty specified in the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act for these materials.
