of <h1>New Customs Duty on Unwrought Nickel Set at 35% Ad Valorem by Notification No. 54/93-Cus. Under Section 25(1)</h1> Notification No. 54/93-Cus., dated February 28, 1993, issued by the Central Government under section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, supersedes Notification No. 240/88-Cus. This notification prescribes an effective customs duty on unwrought nickel under sub-heading No. 7502.10 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. The duty is set at a rate of 35% ad valorem, exempting the excess portion of the previously specified duty rate, in the interest of public policy.
