of <h1>Government Grants Customs Duty Exemptions for Metallurgy Equipment Under Customs Act, 1962, Notification No. 60/93-Cus</h1> The Central Government, under the Customs Act, 1962, has issued Notification No. 60/93-Cus dated February 28, 1993, granting exemptions on customs duties for certain goods under Chapters 84 and 85 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. The specified goods include converters, ladles, ingot moulds, casting machines used in metallurgy and metal foundries, and their parts, as well as industrial and laboratory furnaces and ovens, both electric and non-electric. The applicable duty rates are 35% ad valorem for converters and furnaces, and 25% ad valorem for parts of the specified goods.
