of <h1>India's 1993 Customs Notification Exempted Greenhouse Equipment from Duties, Later Rescinded in 1997.</h1> Notification No. 61/93-Cus dated 28-2-1993 exempts certain greenhouse equipment from customs duties under the Customs Act, 1962. The exemption applies to a basic duty of 25% and removes any additional customs duty on specified goods when imported into India for greenhouse use. The goods include UV retardant sheets, energy-efficient fans, fogging machines, shading systems, drip irrigation systems, humidifiers, cooling systems, heat exchangers, and flower grading machines. Importers must present a certificate from a government official to confirm the goods' intended use. This notification was later rescinded by Notification No. 21/97-Cus on 1-3-1997.
