Iron Ore and Granite Exempted from Export Duty Under Section 25(1) of Customs Act, 1962
Notification No. 91/93-Cus, dated February 28, 1993, amends Notification No. 100/89-Cus to exempt iron ore and granite of all sorts from export duty. Exercising powers under section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, the Central Government deems it necessary in the public interest to implement these changes. The amendment modifies the existing notification by replacing entries for manganese ore and adding new entries for iron ore and granite, including black granite, porphyry, and basalt, thereby fully exempting these materials from export duties.
