of <h1>Government Rescinds 1976 Import Notification Affecting 14 Countries Under Customs Act, Effective March 29, 1993</h1> The Central Government has rescinded Notification No. 342/76-Customs, originally issued on August 2, 1976, concerning imports from Brazil, Turkey, Yugoslavia, Korea, Tunisia, Egypt, Chile, Mexico, Uruguay, Peru, Paraguay, Bangladesh, and Romania. This action, effective from March 29, 1993, is executed under the authority of sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962, and is deemed necessary in the public interest. This change is documented in Notification No. 106/93-Customs.
