of <h1>Customs Notifications Amended: Duty Rates Reduced on Machinery and Electrical Goods, Paragraph 2 Omitted from Specific Notifications</h1> Amendments have been made to several customs notifications concerning machinery and electrical goods under Chapters 84, 85, and 82. The Central Government, exercising its authority under the Customs Act, 1962, has directed these changes in the public interest. Specifically, paragraph 2 is omitted from notifications dated March 17, 1985 (Nos. 76/85, 77/85, and 78/85). Additionally, the ad valorem duty rate is reduced from 40% to 35% in the notification dated March 1, 1987 (No. 63/87), and from 50% to 35% in the notification dated October 12, 1988 (No. 288/88).
