of <h1>Government Amends Customs Notification to Restrict Transfer of Imported Materials After Fulfilling Export Obligations</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 513/86-Cus., originally issued on December 30, 1986, under the Customs Act, 1962. This amendment, effective from August 13, 1993, modifies condition (6) of the notification. It specifies that materials imported under a license issued after March 31, 1993, cannot be transferred after fulfilling export obligations, realizing sale proceeds, and redeeming the bond by the licensing authority. These materials may instead be used by the importer for manufacturing other goods. This amendment aims to address public interest considerations.
