of <h1>Government Amends Notification 260/92-Customs: Import Restrictions After Export Obligations Fulfilled, Effective August 13, 1993</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 260/92-Customs, originally issued on August 27, 1992, under the Customs Act, 1962. This amendment, effective from August 13, 1993, introduces a proviso to condition (5) of the notification. It stipulates that materials imported under a license issued after March 31, 1993, cannot be transferred post-discharge of export obligations, realization of sale proceeds, and redemption of bond by the licensing authority. These materials may instead be used by the importer for manufacturing other goods.
