of <h1>Government Exempts CCTV Systems for Low Vision Aids from Excess Customs Duty Over 10% Under Section 25(1) of Customs Act</h1> The Central Government, under section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, has issued Notification No. 178/93-Cus dated 26-10-1993, exempting Closed Circuit Television Systems used as Low Vision Aids from customs duty in excess of 10% ad valorem. This exemption applies to imports into India and is deemed necessary in the public interest.
