of <h1>Customs Notification Amendment Extends Duty Exemption for Earthquake Relief Imports Until March 31, 1994, for Public Welfare.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 175/93-Customs, originally dated October 19, 1993, under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962. This amendment, issued as Notification No. 187/93-Customs on December 27, 1993, extends the exemption period for imported goods intended for earthquake victims. The original deadline of December 31, 1993, has been extended to March 31, 1994, in the interest of public welfare.
