of <h1>India Imposes Additional Duty on Polyvinyl Chloride Resin Imports to Combat Dumping; Rates Vary by Country of Origin</h1> The Central Government, under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, has imposed an additional duty on the import of Polyvinyl Chloride Resin (excluding paste, battery, or emulsion grades) under sub-headings 3904.10 or 3904.21. This decision follows findings of dumping published in the Gazette of India. The additional duty rates vary by country of origin: Argentina (NIL), Brazil (Rs. 2036 per tonne), Mexico (Rs. 1619 per tonne), Republic of Korea (Rs. 1253 per tonne), and the U.S.A. (Rs. 504 per tonne). This measure aims to address the dumping of these goods into India.
