of <h1>Indian Government Exempts Certain Goods from Excess Customs Duty under Notification No. 11/94-Cus, Effective March 1, 1994.</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, has issued Notification No. 11/94-Cus dated March 1, 1994, to exempt certain goods from excess customs duty when imported into India. The specified goods fall under sub-heading numbers 1302.19 and 1301.90 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. Vegetable saps and extracts under sub-heading 1302.19 are subject to a 25% ad valorem duty, while oleopine resin under sub-heading 1301.90 is subject to a 10% ad valorem duty. This exemption is deemed necessary in the public interest.
