The amendment, issued through Notification No. 48/94-Customs on March 1, 1994, involves a change in the tariff rate specified in the original notification. The figures '5.75%' are replaced with '5%.' This adjustment is made in the public interest, as per the powers granted by section 25 of the Customs Act.
