of <h1>Government exempts imported refined sugar (tariff heading 17.01) from customs and additional duty from March 12, 1994</h1> On 12 March 1994 the government, exercising its statutory powers and citing public interest, exempted imported refined sugar classified under tariff heading 17.01 from payment of the customs duty specified in the tariff schedule and from the additional customs duty otherwise leviable, thereby removing both principal and additional duties on such imports.
