of <h1>Mumbai Commissioner Appointed as Common Adjudicating Authority for Customs Cases in Mumbai and New Delhi Airports</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs has appointed the Commissioner of Customs (Adjudication) in Mumbai as the common adjudicating authority. This appointment, effective from August 6, 2009, empowers the Commissioner to exercise duties and powers of the Commissioners of Customs at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai, and the New Custom House near Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. The purpose is to adjudicate matters related to a Show Cause Notice issued to a private company by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Mumbai Zonal Unit, concerning a case from April 6, 2009.
