of <h1>Government Amends Customs Duty Rates for Catalysts; 25% Rate Set, Certain Catalysts at 50% Under Chapter 38.</h1> The Central Government, under the Customs Act, 1962, has amended the notification No. 32/94-Customs, dated March 1, 1994, regarding the effective rates of duty for catalysts and other specified goods in Chapter 38. For goods classified under tariff headings 3815.11, 3815.12, 3815.19, and 3815.90, the duty rates have been adjusted, with a 25% ad valorem rate applied, except for certain specified catalysts. These specified catalysts, including various nickel, cobalt, copper, and chromium-based catalysts, among others, are subject to a 50% ad valorem duty rate.
