<h1>Central Government Cuts Duty on Ceftazidime from 50% to 25% in Customs Notification No. 156/94-Cus</h1> The Central Government has issued Notification No. 156/94-Cus dated 20-7-1994, under the Customs Act, 1962, to amend certain prior notifications in the interest of public welfare. The duty on Ceftazidime, a drug intermediate, has been reduced from 50% to 25%. Specific amendments include the omission of certain entries and the addition of Ceftazidime to the list of items subject to reduced duty. These changes are detailed in the amendments to Notifications No. 25/94-Customs, No. 26/94-Customs, and No. 27/94-Customs, all dated 1st March 1994.
