of <h1>Customs Notification Amended: Adds 'Melting in a Hot Blast Cupola' to Iron and Steel Scrap Regulations</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 83/90-Customs, originally issued on March 20, 1990, under the powers granted by the Customs Act, 1962. This amendment, effective from September 9, 1994, adds the phrase 'or melting in a hot blast cupola' to the existing notification, following the term 'induction furnace' wherever it appears. This change is made in the interest of public welfare and pertains to the customs tariff regulations concerning iron and steel melting scrap.
