of <h1>Government Amends Customs Notifications: Updates on Import, Transfer, and Re-import Conditions for Electronic Goods</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification Nos. 95/93-Customs and 96/93-Customs, initially issued on March 2, 1993, under the Customs Act, 1962. The amendments include changes to conditions for the import and transfer of electronic hardware and software. Specifically, the term 'for repair or display' is updated to include 'processing,' and the Assistant Collector of Customs is authorized to permit the supply or transfer of goods to export-oriented undertakings or Free Trade Zones for manufacturing and export purposes. Additionally, goods re-imported within three years for repairs or re-conditioning are addressed, and Condition (14) is omitted.
