of <h1>Government Updates Customs Tariff Exemptions: New Entries and Terminology Changes Under Section 25 of Customs Act 1962</h1> The Central Government, exercising powers under section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962, has amended Notifications Nos. 211/90-Cus. and 42/94-Cus. to serve public interest. For Notification No. 211/90-Cus., a new entry for cotton waste, including yarn waste and garnetted stock, has been added. For Notification No. 42/94-Cus., the terminology 'heading No.' is replaced with 'heading No. or sub-heading No.,' and a new entry for fine animal hair, carded or combed, with a 40% ad valorem duty, is included. These changes aim to update and clarify the existing customs tariff exemptions.
