of <h1>India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on Chinese Theophylline and Caffeine Imports Under Customs Tariff Act, 1975</h1> The Central Government, exercising its powers under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, has imposed an additional duty on the import of theophylline and caffeine from the People's Republic of China. This decision follows preliminary findings of dumping as published in the Gazette of India. The duty rates are specified as Rs. 108 per kilogram for theophylline and Rs. 101 per kilogram for caffeine. This measure aims to address the dumping of these goods under Chapter 29 of the First Schedule to the Act.
