<h1>India Cuts Customs Duties on Dental Materials, CD-ROMs, and More Under Customs Act, 1962 for Public Benefit</h1> The Central Government of India has issued a notification under the Customs Act, 1962, reducing duties on various goods for public interest. The notification, dated May 18, 1995, amends previous notifications to include reduced duties on items such as dental materials, CD-ROMs, floppy diskettes, naphthalene, carbon black feed stock, iodine, silanes, chlorosilanes, octamethyl cyclotetrasiloxane, hexamethyl disiloxane, button cells, agricultural silos, and all goods under Heading Nos. 76.03 to 76.16. The amendments specify new duty rates ranging from 20% to 40% ad valorem for these items.
