of <h1>Central Government Amends EPCG Scheme Import Rules: Key Changes to Conditions (4), (5), and (6) of Notification No. 111/95-Customs</h1> The Central Government, using its authority under the Customs Act, 1962, has amended Notification No. 111/95-Customs dated June 5, 1995, regarding imports under the EPCG Scheme. The amendments include the removal of condition (2) and revisions to conditions (4), (5), and (6). In condition (4), 'a certificate from the Licensing Authority' is replaced with 'evidence to the satisfaction of the Assistant Commissioner of Customs,' and interest at 24% per annum from the date of clearance is added. Similar interest provisions are added to conditions (5) and (6).
