<h1>New Exchange Rates for Foreign Currencies Set for Customs and Stamp Duty Calculations Under Section 14, Effective 2002.</h1> Notification No. 63/2001 Customs (N.T.), dated December 26, 2001, issued by the Central Government, supersedes Notification No. 58/2001-Cus. (N.T.). It establishes new exchange rates for converting specified foreign currencies into Indian Rupees for calculating stamp duty under the Indian Stamp Act, 1899, and for purposes related to imported goods under Section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962. Effective January 1, 2002, the notification lists exchange rates for various currencies, including the US Dollar at 48.10 INR, the Euro at 42.75 INR, and the Pound Sterling at 69.35 INR, among others.
