India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on Japanese Acrylonitrile-Butadiene Rubber to Protect Domestic Industry Under Customs Tariff Act
The Central Government of India, exercising its powers under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, has imposed an anti-dumping duty on Acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) imported from Japan. Based on findings published in the Gazette of India on October 19, 1995, it was determined that NBR is being dumped into the Indian market. Consequently, an additional duty of 19,306 rupees per metric tonne is imposed on NBR under sub-heading 4002.59 of the First Schedule when exported from Japan to India. This measure aims to protect the domestic industry from injury caused by such dumping practices.
