of <h1>Government Amends Customs Notifications Under Section 25(1) of Customs Act, 1962 for SAARC and Preferential Country Imports</h1> The Central Government, under section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, has amended certain customs notifications related to imports from SAARC and other preferential countries. Notification No. 4/96-Cus, dated January 15, 1996, specifies changes to previous notifications. For Notification No. 236/89-Customs, dated September 1, 1989, and Notification No. 165/95-Customs, dated December 7, 1995, certain references to other notifications have been updated, removing Notification No. 84/95-Customs, dated April 1, 1995, from the list of referenced notifications.
