<h1>Customs Exemption for Fuel Injection Equipment and Components Capped at 20% Duty Until March 31, 1997.</h1> Notification No. 82/96-Cus, dated October 24, 1996, issued by the Central Government under the Customs Act, 1962, exempts certain goods related to fuel injection equipment from customs duty exceeding 20% ad valorem. The exemption applies to components and sub-components used in manufacturing fuel injection equipment, warranty services, and related machinery or tools, subject to specific conditions. Importers must provide undertakings and certificates to ensure the goods are used as specified and not sold for at least two years. This exemption was effective until March 31, 1997, and was later rescinded by Notification No. 21/97-Cus.
