of <h1>Amendment to Customs Notification: Hospital Equipment Import Clause Revised Under Section 25(1) of Customs Act 1962</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 11/97-Customs, originally issued on March 1, 1997, concerning the import of hospital equipment. Under the authority of section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, this amendment modifies Condition No. 65 in the Annexure. Specifically, the wording in clause (a) changes from 'imported by a hospital run by' to 'the hospital is run by,' reflecting a shift in the phrasing related to the management of hospitals importing equipment. This change is enacted in the public interest as per Notification No. 61/97-Cus, dated July 22, 1997.
