The amendments include substituting 'Commissioner of Customs' with 'Assistant Commissioner of Customs' in certain conditions and adding conditions that exempt duties on goods used for worker training, goods destroyed within the unit, and waste materials. Additionally, new provisions allow duty exemptions for goods re-imported due to delivery failures and goods imported for repairs or re-engineering, with specified re-export timelines.
