of <h1>Central Government amends Customs Act, 1962 to allow import of five lakh metric tonnes of oats for 2003-04.</h1> The Central Government, under the Customs Act, 1962, has amended a previous notification to allow the import of five lakh metric tonnes of oats for the financial year 2003-04. This amendment is made in the public interest and modifies the existing notification No. 21/2002-Customs from March 1, 2002. The change is officially documented in Notification No. 66/2003-Customs, dated April 4, 2003, and is reflected in the updated table under S.No.21, column (3), of the original notification.
