of <h1>Central Government Revises Customs Tariff on Refined Sugar to 5% Under Amended Notification No. 11/97-Cus</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 11/97-Cus, dated March 1, 1997, under the Customs Act, 1962, to revise the customs tariff on refined sugar, including white crystal sugar and raw sugar. The amendment, effective through Notification No. 15/98-Cus dated April 28, 1998, modifies the table in the original notification by substituting the entry for S. No. 10, setting the customs duty for these sugar types at 5%. This change is deemed necessary in the public interest.
