No. 15 for Defense Imports from January to November 1999.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 39/96-Customs, originally dated July 23, 1996, concerning the import of machinery, instruments, and tools, including accessories, by defense and internal security forces. Exercising powers under section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, this amendment changes the date in the Explanation of S. No. 15 in the notification's annexed table from 'January 1999' to 'November 1999.' This amendment is deemed necessary in the public interest and is formalized under Notification No. 99/98-Customs, dated November 27, 1998.
