of <h1>Customs Act 1962 Update: Amendments to Import/Export Ports and Substance List for Value Based Advance Licences</h1> The Central Government, under the Customs Act, 1962, has amended Notification Nos. 79/95-Cus., 80/95-Cus., and 31/97-Cus. concerning imports against Value Based Advance Licences. The amendments specify that imports and exports must occur through designated sea ports, airports, or Inland Container Depots listed in the notification. Additionally, the amendment expands the list of substances in the proviso to condition (vi) to include Ephedrine, Pseudoephedrine, Vitamins, Pen-G, and their derivatives. This amendment is deemed necessary in the public interest.
