of <h1>Customs Act Amendment: Duty Entitlement Pass Book Validity Extended to Month-End if Expiring Early</h1> Notification No. 81/99-Cus, dated June 25, 1999, amends Notification No. 34/97-Cus under the Customs Act, 1962. The amendment modifies condition (iv) by replacing 'Provided that' with 'Provided further that' and adds a new proviso. This new proviso states that if the Duty Entitlement Pass Book expires before the month's end, it will be considered valid until the last day of that month. This change is made in the public interest by the Central Government.
