of <h1>Amendment to Customs Notification: New Tariff Rates for Refined Vegetable Oils, Excluding Certain Types, Effective December 1999.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 20/99-Customs concerning refined vegetable oils of edible grade, in loose or bulk form, under the Customs Act, 1962. Effective from December 30, 1999, the amendment modifies the tariff rates and conditions for specific vegetable oils. Refined vegetable oils, excluding coconut oil, RBD palm oil, RBD palm kernel oil, and palm stearin, are now subject to a 25% tariff. Vegetable oils, excluding coconut oil, used for manufacturing 'Vanaspati' or refining, have a 15% tariff with a 5% concession. Serial No. 12 and its entries have been omitted.
